Zaineb Hussain

Zaineb Hussain is  the Assistant Director of Schools at Cranbrook Schools in Michigan. An alum of The Klingenstein Center  at Teachers College, Columbia University,  Zaineb graduated with her Master of Education in Private School Leadership in May of 2023. Prior to that, Zaineb was the founding Middle School Director at Christina Seix Academy, an independent school in Trenton, New Jersey, where she was responsible for developing the 5th-8th grade program from the ground up. Throughout her career, Zaineb has held various roles in schools including lead elementary and early childhood teacher, curriculum developer and board member and academic chair for a charter school in Queens, NY.  She began her teaching career in Harlem, NY as a founding member of Success Academy 3 as their science teacher and eventually became the Science Curriculum and Staff Developer for the Success Academy Network in NYC. Zaineb earned her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College and her MSEd from Bank Street College. Raised in Queens, New York, Zaineb currently resides in Michigan with her husband and two young children.
